Osteria Nino Opens Thursday, May 7 in Burlington

Burlington’s newest restaurant, Osteria Nino, officially opens to the public on Thursday, May 7.

Located at 19 3rd Ave. in the 3rd Ave Burlington development, Osteria Nino combines Italian technique while showcasing farmers, fisherman and ranchers to tie in all New England has to offer.

The 6,000 square foot, 200 seat restaurant has a 26-seat bar and private dining options for parties of 12-90 people. It also offers a heated patio overlooking a small park, which will feature live music shows in the summer season.

Serving lunch and dinner, as well as brunch on the weekends and late night cocktails, Osteria Nino will be open Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. for lunch and dinner, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (brunch) and 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. for dinner and late night cocktails.

  • Managing Director Sam Alberts who lived in Rome and trained at Gambero Rosso’s culinary school, worked at Pierluigi, attended the American Academy and the rome Sustainable Food Projdct, worked at Antica Pesa in Brooklyn and Eataly in New York City.
  • Culinary Consultant and Author Chris Boswell who attended the California Culinary Academy, worked at Starts, trained in Molise Italy for one year, trained under Alice Waters for five years, was selected by former chef Mona Talbot who found the Rome Sustainable Food Project, and worked at RSFP for eight years.
  • Executive Chef Walace Benica who formerly worked as executive chef at Papa Razzi in Wellesley and Chef the Cuisine at Tuscan Kitchen in Burlingotn.
  • Sous Chef Matt Singer, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu who worked as Sous Chef at Beacon Hill Bistro.
  • Sous Chef Amanda Barresi, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu who worked at Toro.
  • Restaurant Manager Veronicka Bazzinotti.
