When is the Last Day of School in Wilmington?

It’s been a long winter and with so many snow days there was concern earlier in the year about when the actual last day of school would be.

Back in March, Superintendent Mary DeLai said if there aren’t any additional snow days, Wilmington’s last day of school would be June 18, except for high school students whose last day is June 19 due to the extra day tacked onto the end of February break to allow teachers to unpack following the move to the new high school last month.

And she was right on the money.

At Wednesday night’s School Committee meeting, the board approved the following last day of school dates:

• Kindergarten through Grade 8: Last day of school is June 18
• Grades 9 through 12: Last day of school is June 19
