Law enforcement officials in Michigan told the TV station the arrest followed a nationwide investigation which led them to determine the teen was part of a group working together to deliver the threats over the course of a few months. Those threats started back in October.

According to the report, the group worked together communicating via online game chat rooms. One would script the threat, another would pick the school while a third would make the phone call.
