Wilmington's Creative Edge Pools & Spa Opens for Business

Wilmington has another new business with last week’s opening of Creative Edge Pools & Spa.

Located at 382 Middlesex Ave., Creative Edge Pools & Spa officially opened its doors last week and a grand opening is planned for Saturday, May 2.

The only pool store in town, the family owned and operated business now gives residents what they need right here in Wilmington, offering both pool service and repairs, as well as a slew of other services and products.

Lisa Brabant, who owns the business with her husband David, explains the company began five years ago with in-ground pool installations. Both Lisa and David are Wilmington residents who grew up in town, as did their parents and grandparents. Raising their three daughters here, Lisa says they knew this was the place to open a storefront as part of their five-year plan. “It is a great town to raise a family,” Lisa says. “We live here, making it so convenient, and we have a connection with this town. We are happy here. Our family is here. There is nobody in town that is offering this and everybody has a pool.”

Lisa said what makes Creative Pools & Spa different from other pool stores is her husband’s passion for work. “He goes over and beyond,” she says. “We are building a business for our family.” They have nine employees and seven of them are family. “ Our goal is to have three more stores. One for each of our daughters my husband says. He wants to build a future for our family. Our family is what drives us.”

Creative Pools & Spa does new installs, renovations, service, and also has a retail component. They also have their regular chemical line, a salt water chemical line, and a hot tub chemical line. They also have above ground pools, for those who are interested, but they don’t do installations on those.

Other items you can find at Creative Edge Pools & Spa include: toys, maintenance items (brushes, vac hoses, skimmer, etc..) and while they have some parts on hand, they can get any product a customer wants that day or the next depending on the item because they work with a local distributor to get it right away who always has it in stock. This allows them to save space inside their store for all they have to offer, Lisa explains.

Additional services include a spin lab to test pool water, which Lisa says is pretty neat because it tells exactly what people need to add to maintain their water quick and easy.

Creative Edge Pools & Spa is holding a grand opening on Saturday, May 2. Stop in for some grand opening savings, as well as refreshments and a raffle.

Creative Edge Pools & Spa is open seven days a week. Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
