Wilmington's Town Beach at Silver Lake Opens for the Season
Here's what you need to know if you plan to spend time at the town beach this summer.

Wilmington’s Town Beach at Silver Lake officially opened for the season on Saturday, June 13 and will be open daily through mid August.
Lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, weather permitting. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Wilmington residents can use the beach at no charge. Proof of residency is required in the form of a driver’s license, student school picture ID or a current tax bill accompanied by picture ID.

Day passes may be purchased at the beach for non residents for $10 per person, per day ages 3 and up.
Flotation devices, dogs, alcohol, grills and smoking are all prohibited at the town beach.

Kayak and Canoe Rentals:
Kayak and canoe rentals are available during beach operation hours. The cost is $3 per hour (with a 2 hour minimum), $20 per day and $40 per weekend. Residents can arrange for off-site rentals of canoes only at the town’s Recreation Office.
The Wilmington Board of Health tests SIlver Lake weekly from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Testing results are posted on the Health Department page of the town website.
