Body Of Missing Teen Swimmer Recovered From Winchester Lake
Crews recovered a 17-year-old's body from a Winchester lake after he was out swimming with a group, according to state police.
WINCHESTER, MA — A teen's body was recovered in Upper Mystic Lake by Shannon Beach in Winchester on Saturday night, according to a statement from state police. The victim was identified as Luis Tejeda, 17, of Lynn, Boston.com reported.
A preliminary investigation found that Tejeda was swimming with a group about 100 yards offshore outside the swim zone. At some point, the other swimmers realized Tejeda was no longer at the surface.
Stoneham firefighters found his body in about 6 feet of water near the place he was last seen, according to police.
