May is here, and with it comes rain, the Faye Goldberg-Scheff Special Educator of the Year, Estate Planning Essentials and Preschool Story Time. Don't forget to vote in or Best Of poll, too.

1. Rain: The National Weather Service predicts showers headed our way. Patchy fog afternoon with a high of 48. Chance of precipitation at 90 percent. Tuesday evening, rain witha low of 44.

2. Faye Goldberg-Scheff Special Educator of the Year: The nominees for the 2012 Faye Goldberg-Scheff Special Educator of the Year Award will be recognized, and the recipient will be announced. Help us celebrate the dedication, creativity and hard work of these very special educators. May 1, 2012, 7:00 pm , 10 Brantwood Road.

3. Estate Planning Essentials: Come for a talk and discussion about planning for the future and protecting your loved ones. Winchester attorneys Larry Murray  and Molly McDougal will answer your questions about wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, estate taxes and more. You are welcome to bring your lunch. Beverage and dessert will be provided. Event is being held from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in the Small Meeting Room at the

4. Preschool Story Time: Preschool Storytime Club begins again on Monday April 23rd and continues through May 29th. Preschool Storytime Club is on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:00am or 11:00am and is for children ages 2 1/2 -5. Registration is required. Stop by the Children's Room for more information and to sign up! Event is being held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Storytime Room at the Winchester Public Library.
