Gas Prices Continue Slow Decline in Massachusetts

As the summer continues, gas prices have continued their steady decline since reaching the yearly high during the month of June.

The price per one gallon of regular gasoline in Massachusetts is down more than three cents compared to one week ago, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. The national average, as of July 21, is $2.75, down from the yearly high of $2.80 set on June 15, the report said.

The cheapest gas in Winchester is $2.59 at Stop & Shop, located at 671 Main St. near Vine Street, according to according to GasBuddy.com, a company that reports gas and diesel prices through crowd sourcing.

Massachusetts residents are paying less than the national average and are paying 95 cents less than the average price per gallon of regular gasoline from one year ago. Bay State residents were paying an average of $3.67 one year ago, according to AAA.
