LETTER: 'Chapter 40B Cannot be Fixed at the Local Level'
Resident Zach Brown pens a letter to the editor on the Chapter 40B issues facing Winchester.

Dear Editor:
Another week another Chapter 40B state housing problem. This situation has been brewing for more than two (2) years. However, to date our State Representative Michael Day has not filed any legislation to relieve the awful burden this law places on residents and towns like Winchester. These burdens will continue to negative effect the quality of life of residents until this law is fixed.
Chapter 40B cannot be fixed at the local level. It must be fixed at the State Legislative level, but our State Representative does nothing. Actions speak louder than words. Developers should not have the right to override local zoning laws—end of story. That is why I am supporting Caroline Colarusso who has pledged to fix chapter 40B.
