Man Attacked Woman With Rock, Raped Her Near Hiking Trail: DA

A 28-year-old Medford man was arrested in connection to the sexual assault that took place in the Middlesex Fells Reservation Friday.

MEDFORD, MA — A Medford man was arrested on charges he attacked a woman with a rock and raped her near a local hiking trail Friday morning.

Brady McCue, 28, assaulted a 48-year-old woman who was walking near the Leslie Road Trail Head at the Medford/Winchester line in the Middlesex Fells Reservation around 8 a.m., the Middlesex District Attorney's office said in a statement Friday night.

McCue is accused of striking the woman with a rock multiple times before sexually assaulting her.

Investigators identified McCue after collecting evidence from the scene. He was arrested at his home.

McCue was charged with armed assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, kidnapping and four counts of aggravated rape in connection.

The victim did not know McCue. She is in stable condition but has serious injuries.
