Middlesex DA Issues County-Wide Alert on Water Safety

In light of recent drownings across the state, including in Framingham where a 10-year-old drowned in a family pool, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan is issuing a county-wide alert on water safety on Thursday, July 30.

Ryan will be joined by Stoneham Police and the Stoneham Fire Department who will demonstrate a simulated drowning and rescue operation, as well as members of Action Ambulance and the Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham & Wakefield. The demonstration takes place at 11 a.m. at Spot Pond in Stoneham.

With 54 towns and cities, including Winchester, and 26 colleges in urban, suburban and rural areas, Middlesex County makes up more than a quarter of the population in Massachusetts, and is the most populous in the state.
