• What do you know about Winchester's school councils? (winchesternews.org) — Winchester parents are pressing the School Committee to strengthen and better publicize the town’s eight school councils, which help shape goals, budgets, and improvement plans in Winchester Public Schools. Several parents described learning about councils only recently and urged clearer communication, training sessions, and policy updates so families and teachers can use them to address issues like screen time and curriculum concerns.
   

• Aitken, Gooden earn conference awards; two on Honor Roll (skidmoreathletics.com) — Skidmore College goalie Tommy Aitken, a junior from Winchester has been named SUNYAC Goaltender of the Week after a 31-save performance in an overtime win against nationally ranked Curry. The roundup also highlights Liberty League and SUNYAC weekly basketball and swimming honorees from colleges across the Northeast.
