📰 News we're reading

• Winchester residents speak on Mt. Vernon project during Planning Board hearing (winchesternews.org) — Winchester officials and residents are sharply divided over a proposed six-story, 34‑unit mixed‑use building at 10 Converse Place/33 Mt. Vernon Street in the downtown. At a packed Planning Board hearing, critics focused on height, historic character, and design, while supporters emphasized new housing, tax revenue, and improved green space by Mill Pond.
