• Winchester senior captain Eddie Donlon reaches milestone for career wins in Lowell wrestling tournament (winchesternews.org) — Winchester High’s wrestling team just celebrated senior captain Eddie Donlon’s 100th career varsity win during a strong showing at the massive Lowell Holiday Tournament. Several other Winchester wrestlers turned in solid performances as the shorthanded squad gears up for a busy post-Christmas stretch, including a quad meet in Leominster and a New Year’s Day home showdown with Wellesley.
   

• OBITUARY: Carole Ann Zampese, 83 (wilmingtonapple.com) — Winchester readers may note that Carole Ann (Rice) Zampese, who was born in Winchester in 1942, has passed away at age 83. A longtime Bedford resident later living in Arlington, she was deeply involved in Bedford community groups and church life, and is remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend; services will be private.
