WINCHESTER-- The Town of Winchester is encourage all female residents over the age of 14 to sign up for a Rape Aggression Defense System (RAD) training this February. The cost is $100, with a workbook and reference material provided.
Classes are Feb. 6, 9, 13, and 27 from 6:30-9:30pm at the Winchester Recreation Department at 263 Main Street. For more information, call the Recreational Department at 781-721-7125.
The municipal government, Winchester Coalition for a Safer Community, Police Department, and Winchester Recreation Department are co-sponsoring the course.

Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) is a nationally-known self defense program. RAD's program develops options of self defense so they may become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked. According to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), women experience sexual assault at high rates.
