What better way to celebrate Irish American Heritage Month than to read or listen to one of these books, which were written by second and third generation Irish Americans. The plots and themes are diverse and unique. Some focus on the Great Depression, alcoholism, catastrophic violence , family struggles and comic scenarios. Included on this list are classic novels, a memoir, a collection of poetry and a couple of thrillers. Let’s pick up one of these books or pop on the earphones. You will be challenged and these stories will hold your attention until the last page.
