Temporary Class of 2005 Records To Be Destroyed

The following information was provided by Woburn Memorial High School:

The temporary school file folders for the students in the Class of 2005 will be destroyed on August 28, 2012.  Anyone wishing to pick up his or her temporary school file folder may do so in the Guidance office at Woburn Memorial High School on or before August 27, 2012 Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  It would be very helpful if those intending to pick up their records called the Guidance office (781- 937-8210, extension 112) in advance.

The student’s temporary school file consists “of all the information in the student record that is not contained on the transcript.”  Massachusetts law requires the student’s temporary record to be destroyed after seven years.  A student’s transcript, however, must be kept for at least 60 years.
