Arizona Woman Arrested on Prostitution Charges
Woburn Police, working with a regional agency, arrested a women on sexual conduct for a fee charges.

Members of the Woburn Police Department arrested an Arizona women following an investigation on a charge of soliciting sexual conduct for a fee.
According to a release, on March 25 members of the Woburn Police Department working with members Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force conducted a prostitution sting at local hotels. The investigation came after monitoring online advertisements that suggested it was possibly a prostitution advertisement.
Police contacted the phone number associated with the advertisement and, employing an undercover officer, set up a sting operation at a local hotel. The woman entered the room and was paid $200, after which she began making sexual advances towards the undercover officer. The officer then signaled other members of the police department who entered the room and made an arrest.

As a result of the investigations police arrested the following suspect:
Damara Needham, 25, of 10900 N. Battleford Drive, Casa Grande, Arizona, on a charge of sexual conduct for a fee.

Following the arrest the $200 was collected as evidence.
Also, during the arrest Needham allegedly ran to a waste basket where she attempted to ditch her car keys. According to the release workers in the illegal sex trade often use their vehicle to hide their earning, weapons and contraband. After searching the vehicle police found $1,131 in currency. Police provided the suspect with $140 to post bail and placed the remaining $991 into evidence.
Prostitution, a quality of life issue in that it often takes place in hotels, office buildings, and/or apartment buildings where there is pedestrian traffic where customers often blend in, is often associated with drug usage, drug addiction, sexually transmitted diseases, human trafficking, abuse and violence including assaults, rape, and robbery, the release states.
