WOBURN, MA — Woburn will have a number of contested races in the Nov. 2 municipal election, including a six-candidate race for five seats on the Woburn School Committee.

Incumbent Colleen Cormier is running for re-election to the School Committee, facing Shaun O'Keeffe and fellow incumbents Patricia Chisholm, Christopher Kisiel, Andrew Lipsett and Michael Mulrenan.

Why are you seeking elective office?
I would be honored to continue to serve the City of Woburn as a member of the School Committee. I've been proud to be a part of moving the district forward these last two years and am excited to see what the future has in store for Woburn Public Schools.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Keeping kids in school and learning despite the COVID-19 pandemic is paramount at this time. I have kept abreast of the ever-evolving data presented by medical experts to inform my decisions on key issues.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
As a healthcare provider for adolescents, I have a unique perspective when approaching topics such as air quality in our classrooms and logistical responses to mitigation efforts.
