Why are you seeking elective office?
As a lifelong resident of Woburn, I would like to be more proactive in the ongoing development of Woburn. Promoting smart and healthy growth that benefits the residents of Woburn that live here.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The single most pressing issue facing Woburn is with routes 95 and 93 passing right through the center of it. Woburn is one of the hottest places in Massachusetts to live and do business in, especially in Ward 6. With this comes a very fine balancing act that needs to be monitored and scrutinized every step of the way. That's where someone like me comes in.
With me as Alderman in Ward 6 on the city council reviewing these many plans and proposed projects with foresight and common sense, many of these plans and projects can bring healthy prosperity to Woburn and its residents. The ones that could be a burden with no benefits to the residents, but, more of what they already have, I will not approve. If you are going live and do business in Woburn you should contribute and benefit Woburn.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am a lifelong resident. My mother and father's families have been in Woburn for close to 100 years. I was educated from K-12 in the Woburn school system. I developed many friendships that I hold dear to this day from kids I first went to school with back in the early '70s. (Educated K-12 in the Woburn School System. Went to the Veterans Elementary School, Altavesta Elementary School, Kennedy Middle School, Old Woburn High School)
The education Woburn provided me allowed me to go to local Massachusetts colleges where I earned my Degree in Applied Business Sciences which opened the doors to the many places I have worked and held several positions. I have a background in production/project management, asset management, residential and commercial layout, excavation, construction & maintenance, sales and development. This is the experience I will be bringing to the City Council representing the residents and the city.
(My professional experience allows me to be able to read and understand site plans and layouts and all that is involved in the building of the proposed projects being presented that the City Council sees every two weeks.)
All that I have accomplished is due to where I come from, and that place is Woburn. I thank God for my parents and family that instilled the old school values and the grit that has made me who I am. But I also owe a lot to this city and its many people that helped me and taught me many life lessons along the way. That has made me the person I am today and it is time for me to give that back to Woburn and especially Ward 6.
(Representing and giving back to the residents of Woburn is personal to me)
How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?
I believe that the local officials did what they thought was best for the residents of Woburn based on the scientific data that was provided to them by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
I believe in progress, but these plans should be viewed with a common-sense approach and foresight. It helps to have the work and life experiences I have to do that.
I see the need for a new elementary school that should combine the Linscott and Altavesta Elementary Schools in N. Woburn. These schools hold about 450 or so students now. With the increase in residential apartments being proposed and built we need a school that can handle that plus a 10% or more increase in students.
I also believe that any and all affordable apartments that have been built or are in the pipeline to be built, a percentage of the total amount should be allocated for veterans and seniors. Many of these apartments being built are within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants and would be perfect for our disabled veterans and seniors.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have a background in production/project management, asset management, residential and commercial layout, excavation, construction & maintenance, sales and development. This is the experience I will be bringing to the City Council representing the residents and the city.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
"Just keep going. No matter what" (my Dad)
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I know almost every square inch of N. Woburn. I know who's who and what's what. I travel in and around N. Woburn all day every day. From getting my coffee in the morning, visiting local businesses throughout the day to walking my dog down New Boston Street at night.
I have lived in my home my whole life and when my dad died two years ago I swore I would carry his name with respect and take care of the home we built together.
I am vested in Woburn and I will continue to be vested because I see Woburn is becoming and will continue to be the place people want to live and where top-notch companies around the world want to be. Progress with prosperity in Woburn is a delicate balance that can be achieved with the right people in the right positions. I am one of those people.
