Injured MBTA Officer is Woburn Resident
The Boston Globe is reporting that Richard H. Donohue Jr., of Woburn, is in stable condition.
Update 5:15 a.m.
Channel 7 reported that Mount Auburn Hospital has stated that MBTA Officer, Richard H. Donohue Jr., of Woburn, is out of surgery and is in "critical but stable condition."

The MBTA Transit Police Officer wounded in a shoot-out with the Boston Marathon bombing suspects is a Woburn resident, the Boston Globe reported today.
According to the Globe, Richard H. Donohue Jr., 33, of Woburn, is in stable condition at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge.

Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation Richard Davey and Beverly Scott, general manager of the MBTA, spent the morning at the hospital with the officer's family as they waited for updates from the hospital. Scott said Donohue Jr. lost a lot of blood.
As of right now it is unclear exactly how the officer was injured during the shoot out last night.
According to the Globe story Donohue Jr. and his wife have a 7-month-old son and moved to their Woburn neighborhood about a year ago.
