Lawrence Man Faces Indictment in Woburn Drug Bust

Lawrence man faced drug and firearms charges.

WOBURN - One of three men arrested in January as part of a major drug bust by Woburn police is scheduled for a probable-cause next month if he is not indicted first.

In Woburn District Court on Monday, Jonathan Baez, 23, of Lawrence, is charged with distributing a Class B drug, conspiracy to violate the drug law, carrying a firearm without a license, possessing a firearm with a defaced serial number in a felony, conspiracy (firearms charges) and a firearm violation with one prior violent/drug crime.

Although scheduled for a probable-cause hearing on Monday, the hearing was postponed until April 19.

After an intensive Woburn police on Jan. 3 arrested Baez and Juan E. Aponte, 23, of Lawrence, charging them with drug and firearms charges.

Jose Rivera- Dejesus, 23, of Bristol, Conn. is charged with drug conspiracy.
