Woburn's 2015 MCAS Scores Among Worst in State

The city is 213th among all school districts with 79% of 10th-grade students scoring proficient of advanced on the annual standardized test.

The 2015 MCAS scores are out. Woburn High School students placed among the bottom half of schools in Massachusetts. The city ranks 213th among 291 school districts with 79% of 10th-grade students scoring proficient of advanced on the annual standardized test.

Woburn ranked 212th in the state for the English Language Arts portion of the test. 91% of students earned either proficient or advanced.

The city ranked 216th in the state for the Math portion of the test. 79% of students earned either proficient or advanced.

And finally, Woburn ranked 228th in the state for the Science portion of the test. 67% of students earned either proficient or advanced.

Between the three sections, 45% of students earned a needs improvement grade. 18% scored within the warning/failing area.
