UPDATE: Missing Siberian Husky Has Died
Local family is searching for a Siberian Husky who escaped their yard on Saturday.

UPDATE: Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.
Freke's owner James McIninch posted on Woburn Patch tonight, reporting that 12-year-old Freke has passed. We have no other details at this time, but the McIninch family appreciated all of the community's efforts to find Freke.
Monday, 12:30 p.m.: A local Siberian Husky named Freke has been missing since Saturday. The 12-year-old pup was seen in Burlington near Freeport Road at 1 p.m. Saturday, but ran into the woods when approached. Later that day, she was spotted on Breed Avenue near the Woburn/Wilmington town line at 5 p.m. Again, Freke fled when someone tried to reach her.

Freke has blue eyes and weighs about 42 pounds. She is wearing a red collar with several tags. If you see her and call to her, her name is pronounced “FREE-kuh.”
She is very shy of strangers and is known to flee when approached by people. She is friendly, but could be very frightened or hurt, so use caution.
