Looks like Woburn will once again be on the silver screen.

Mayor Scott Galvin posted to his Facebook page last night that there will be filming for a new movie at the Clapp School next week.

"Horn Pond or Hollywood East?," Galvin wrote. "Film crews will be setting up to shoot some scenes at the Clapp School site next Tuesday, April 9, for a new David O. Russell movie about the Abscam scandal, set in the 70s."

According to Galvin, the yet-to-be-named movie stars Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Admans, and Louis C.K. Film executives and crews have been working with Mayor Scott Galvin, Superintendent Mark Donovan, Police Chief Robert Ferullo, Fire Chief Paul Tortolano and other key city and school department officials to prepare for the day of filming.

According to the IMDB synopsis, the movie is about "The 1970s-set true story of a con artist and his partner in crime, who were forced to work with a federal agent to turn the tables on other cons, mobsters, and politicians - namely, the volatile mayor of impoverished Camden, New Jersey."

It is not clear exactly which stars will be at the film shooting. Woburn Patch will follow up as more details become available.

Russell's last local movie was 2010's acclaimed "The Fighter" Galvin said in his post. Woburn has been buzzing with Boston-area Hollywood action lately. Recent area filming has taken place on Draper Street, and last November, Seinfeld creator Larry David filmed a scene for an HBO movie at Moore and Parkers in Woburn Center.

"Great to have Woburn's rich culture and beautiful scenery represented up on big screens everywhere!" Galvin said.
