Police Arrest Two Lawrence Men on Heroin Charges in Woburn
The following is based on a release from the Woburn Police Department.

Police arrested two Lawrence men on a charge of drug possession following an ongoing narcotics investigation relating to the illegal sale and distribution of heroin.
According to a release, on Friday, April 5, members of the Woburn Police Department Drug Unit arrested the men on charges related to drug distribution.
The Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force and Woburn Police Department patrol officers also assisted in the investigation.

According to the release over the past couple months police had been conducting an open narcotics investigation into a Lawrence-based illegal heroin sales and distribution operation operating in the City of Woburn and surrounding communities. The investigation included undercover work, reliable sources and the purchase of narcotics from the suspects.

Oscar Benjamin Ovalles, 20 of of 133 Woodland St., Lawrence. Ovalles was charged with one count of Distribute Class A Drug (heroin), one count of Possess to Distribute Class A Drug (heroin), and one count of Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law.
Jose Ramone Chabjub-DeJesus, 27, of of 296 Broadway, Apt. #B, Lawrence. Chabjub-DeJesus was charged with three counts of Distribute Class A Drug (heroin) and three counts of Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law.
As a result of the investigation police have also issued a summons to a third Lawrence man on charges of two counts of Distribute Class A Drug (heroin) and two counts of Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law.
The arrests were made on April 5 after police contacted Chabjub-DeJesus for a drug purchase and Ovalles was dispatched to make the deal. Police purchased $150 worth of heroin before making the arrest.
