WOBURN, MA — A complaint involving members of a Woburn High School sports team is under investigation, city and school officials said Saturday.

Woburn police received the complaint Wednesday regarding an incident earlier in the school year, according to a statement released by the officials. Woburn police and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office are investigating the incident.

The officials did not specify the team or provide any additional details, "due to the ages of those involved." But WCVB reported Friday that "police are investigating whether a juvenile was hazed and sexually assaulted at the school in an incident involving the football team," citing unnamed sources.
