POLICE LOG: Birthday Party Ends With Trip To Emergency Room
An excerpt from the Woburn Police Department's Feb. 11-13 police log.

The following is an excerpt from the log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.
Feb. 11 –
- At 9:49 a.m. and 11:53 a.m., police responded to a well-being check on Buttaro Road. A woman was taken to Winchester Hospital for evaluation.
- At 4:54 p.m., police were dispatched to Van Norden Road for a report of vandalism. According to police, furniture items were broken after a verbal disagreement and some type of powder was put in the victim’s car.
- At 7:07 p.m., police responded to Garfield Avenue for a medical aid. According to police, a Woburn man had gone to Garfield Avenue to pick up a friend, but passed out in his car. He was taken to Winchester Hospital for evaluation. Police believe the man had recently used heroin before passing out.
- At 8 p.m., a Montvale Avenue woman reported her godson missing after he left the house without permission.
- At 9:01 p.m., a Boston woman reported her son missing. The male was found on Buttaro Road. Arrangements were made for him to return to his mother’s house.
- At 9:38 p.m., a woman reported being in fear of her ex-fiance.
- At 10:12 p.m., a Leonard Street woman reported several items of jewelry stolen from her home. The pieces are valued at approximately $1,000.
- At 10:25 p.m., a 26-year-old Woburn man was placed in protective custody.
- At 11:53 p.m., a Main Street man reported his former girlfriend came to his home and began a verbal argument with him. He also reported she damaged his front door.

- At 2:19 p.m., a Prospect Street man reported his car window smashed in but nothing was taken.
- At 5:47 p.m., police and fire were dispatched to a Mill Street apartment for a report of an Everett man who had stopped breathing. Police and fire were able to get the man breathing again. It was discovered by officials that the man most likely had used heroin, causing the episode.
- At 8:13 p.m., police were dispatched to the Holiday Inn Select pool area for a report of a disturbance during a child’s birthday party. According to police, a chaperone at the party reportedly drank three nips of Zambuca and consumed prescription drugs before returning to the party and pushing someone into the pool. The chaperone was taken to Winchester Hospital. Police stood by while the youths were picked up by parents.

- At 4:49 a.m., a 21-year-old Wakefield woman was placed in protective custody after police received a report of a disoriented woman walking in a Lexington Street parking lot without shoes.
- At 6:18 p.m., an Inwood Drive woman reported harassment.
- At 11:15 p.m., police responded to McDonald’s on Montvale Avenue for a report of an altercation.
