POLICE LOG: Cops Tell Teen Mom Makes Rules

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Oct. 21 – At 8:21 p.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Kilby Street. According to police, a mother and daughter argued verbally over discipline. Police spoke to the 17-year-old daughter and informed her that her mother has the right to discipline her. Peace was restored to the residence.

Oct. 17 –

At 10:20 a.m., a landscaper reported a Redmax leaf blower was stolen from a job site on Salem Street. The man said it was in the driveway when it was stolen from the site. There were workers on site at the time of the theft, but no witnesses.

At 11:14 a.m., a Cambridge Road woman reported a World War I veteran’s plaque stolen from her father’s grave at the Calvary Cemetery. According to police, the bronze plaque has been missing since April.

At 12:06 p.m., police responded to a report of a breaking and entering on Alpena Avenue. According to police, a flatscreen TV and laptop were left in the apartment, but cash and an iPhone were stolen from one bedroom.    

Oct. 19 –

At 7:18 a.m., police responded to a one-car crash on Frances Street. According to police, a 42-year-old driver was attempting to park in a parking lot when she pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake. The acceleration caused the car to veer “wildly” in a right turn, striking one parked car and then two others. All of the cars were moved from their original parked positions, said police.

At 11:19 a.m., an Arlington woman reported her car damaged while parked in the North Suburban YMCA parking lot. According to police, evidence at the scene shows that the car was likely damaged by a white SUV or minivan.

At 3:10 p.m., police were dispatched to Salem Street for a report of an argument between siblings. According to police, a 17-year-old girl reported that her brother “stormed” into her room and fought with a 21-year-old man who was in the room. When the girl tried to separate them, said police, she was accidentally struck in the arm.

At 4:48 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Salem Street. According to police, one driver was cited in the crash.

At 4:49 p.m., police were called to Cambridge Road for a two-car crash. According to police, one driver failed to yield to the right of way and caused the collision. That driver was cited for failure to yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. The car’s owner was subsequently cited for allowing an unlicensed person to operate a motor vehicle, said police.

At 7:39 p.m., a Mishawum Road man reported his son may have stolen $200 from his wallet. The man told police he was also going to notify the son’s probation officer.

Oct. 20 –

At 8:53 a.m., police responded to a civil complaint on Lowell Street. According to police, a resident had a ruling from land court that said a neighboring business could not use a Lowell Street entryway, but was using it all day. Police noted that the business was paving the other driveway and was using the Lowell Street entry as a back-up. The officer spoke to an employee of the business, and confirmed that the other driveway would be used after the paving was complete at the end of the day.

At 9:06 a.m., a Georgia man reported a vehicle damaged while parked overnight on Mishawum Road.

At 3:46 p.m., a couple entered the police station to report threats and an assault. According to police, the couple was picking up the man’s daughter when the girl’s mother swore and struck the woman in the car. The victim said the girl’s mother accused her of hitting the child and hit her in the face. The couple reported the incident immediately, said police.

At 4:26 p.m., police responded to a medical aid on Prospect Street. One man was taken to Winchester Hospital.   

Oct. 21 –

At 7:53 a.m., a Main Street woman reported a verbal disagreement with her father. Police spoke to the man, who confirmed that they did argue over loud music.

At 6:24 p.m., police were called to a two-car accident on Cambridge Road at the Horn Pond Plaza.
