POLICE LOG: Man Charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon

Dec. 14 -
- At 8:17 a.m., Daniel Oliveira, 55, of 759 Spring St. in North Dighton, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (hammer) after police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Hawthorne Road. According to police, an intoxicated Oliveira reportedly threatened the victim with a hammer.
- At 8:40 a.m., an East Boston man was issued a citation for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation after an officer observed the man drive straight on Mishawum Road in a left-turn only lane.
- At 9:45 a.m., Everton Lopes, 26, of 177 Main St. in Medford, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating an unregistered motor vehicle after police observed Lopes driving a car with an expired registration.
- At 3:11 p.m., a Cambridge Road woman reported her car was entered overnight and $50 in coins and a GPS unit were stolen. It is unknown if the car was locked at the time.
- At 4:40 p.m., a 37-year-old Boston man was placed in protective custody after police received a report of an unresponsive male on Main Street. When police arrived, they found the man slumped over and seated on a bench next to . Police reported the man had problems standing and maintaining his balance due to his intoxicated state, so he was placed in protective custody.
