POLICE LOG: Police Confiscate Marijuana, Delivery Man Injured in Hit and Run Accident

At 10:28 p.m. police pulled over a vehicle for running a red light on Mishawum Road and while the officer was calling in his location he noticed the operator reaching into the back seat. Police demanded the occupant show his hands through the window. When the officer approached the vehicle he detected a strong odor of marijuana. Police handcuffed the man for their safety and searched the vehicle and the driver for weapons and none were found.
Police confiscated two grams of marijuana worth about $20. They also issued the driver a citation for running the red light.

June 4-
At 10:38 a.m. police responded to a hit and run accident in the parking lot of Lucky Mart. The caller said he was making a delivery to the store and was in the back of the trailer when it was struck by another vehicle. The accident caused the caller to fall off the trailer and hurt his neck. The driver left the scene without identifying himself. Police ran the information and pulled up a picture of the operator and the caller confirmed it was the driver. The caller did not want to press charges.
