POLICE LOG: Teens Fight Outside Lucky Mart

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Featured Call of the Day:

Oct. 15 – At 5:33 p.m., police received a report of an assault in Woburn Center. According to police, a teenager reported he was punched in the face by a 17-year-old male outside the Lucky Mart. The teen told police he was punched repeatedly by the other male and fell to the ground. Police said the teen admitted punching the 17-year-old several times in return. An officer spoke to the other teen involved, who said he punched the reporting party because he thought that the teen was going to hit him first.  Police advised both boys to stay away from each other. Neither boy had an answer for what caused the assault. 

 

Other Incidents:

Oct. 11 –

At 2:13 p.m., a 50-year-old Woburn woman was placed in protective custody after police received a report of an unwanted party at a residence. Police found the woman intoxicated and unable to stand without assistance.  

Oct. 15 –

At 8:33 a.m., police responded to a report of threats made on Wildwood Avenue. According to police, a woman reported terminating an employee without incident. However, a friend of the woman’s reportedly arrived at the business and threatened to “beat the [expletive] out of [the employee].” Police advised the business on how to obtain a no trespass order against the woman.

At 6:11 p.m., police were dispatched to a Washington Street home for a report of a fight between a mother and a son. Police spoke to the woman, who said it was a verbal argument, but she feared it may escalate. The responding officer sat and spoke with the teen, who was calmed by the discussion. Police cleared the scene.

At 8:04 p.m., police were called to a two-car accident at the Russell Street and Cambridge Road intersection. According to police, a witness reported one car went through a red light, causing the crash. One driver was cited for failure to stop for a red light.
