POLICE LOG: Vehicle Window Smashed, Items Stolen

At 3:10 p.m. a Mount Pleasant Street caller reported a larceny. Police spoke to the caller who showed them her vehicle. The rear passenger side window was smashed and the caller said her purse and it’s contents were stolen, including her license, bank cards and about $40 in cash. Prescription drugs were also taken.

Other Incidents
April 1-
At 8:34 p.m. police responded to the Panera Bread at the Woburn Mall on a call of a disturbance. Police met with the caller in front of the restaurant.
The caller said he and a woman were sitting at a table in Panera when a known male came up and threatened him. The man has a social relationship with the woman but the caller said he often follows her around and this is the second time he’s approached them. When the man wouldn’t leave the caller and the woman alone he dialed 911 and the man fled the restaurant.
Police spoke to the man on the phone and told him to stop the harassment and he agreed.
Police advised the caller to take out a harassment prevention order if this continues.
April 2-
At 9:32 a.m. police responded to Roma’s Bakery and Deli on a report of threats. Police spoke to a manager who said that on the day before she had filled an order from a company called “North Shore Corvette Company” and that today she received a call from a man who said he was president of the company. The manager said he yelled at her about the quality of the products and the cost and said he would “come to the store and pull you out of it.” He also threatened to call the board of health.
At 12:05 p.m. a Woodside Terrace caller reported threatening text messages. Police spoke to the caller who said he had a recent disagreement with a former friend and on that morning the he received a text message from him that stated “my turn mother [expletive deleted].” The caller said he thought the message was threatening. Police advised the caller on his rights pertaining to applying for a harassment prevention order.
Police also contacted the former friend and advised him that possible action could be taken against hm if he continued in this manner.
At 12:55 p.m. police responded to Pond Plaza on a report of larceny/fraud. Caller said items were stolen from an employee’s pocketbook.
The victim stated her wallet, checkbook and iPhone were stolen from her purse on March 25. The victim added that she later found out that one check had been fraudulently written to obtain cash from her account.
