POLICE LOG: Man Complains of Sexual Harassment by Woman via Phone

July 24 -- At 8:08 p.m., a Woburn man complained of sexual harassment by phone from a female friend. Since February, he has received some 100 calls a day with a sexual theme from the woman in California, according to the report. The calls are starting to interfere with his business here, he reported.  He has blocked her phone number but she calls from different phone numbers. Police suggested that he could change his phone number.

July 24

At 9:37 a.m., a Woburn woman reported that unauthorized transactions had been made on her credit and debit card, which she recently found missing.  Three charges totaling just under $700 went through, one for just over $500 at CVS in Burlington and one at an ATM in Atlantic City, NJ. One charge for almost $500 was cancelled.  The PIN was not on the card, according to the report. Police advised the woman to make sure the card was cancelled. She plans to dispute the charges with her bank.

July 25

At 3:16 a.m., a Glenwood Street resident reported that three tires on his vehicle had just been slashed.  He said was awakened by what sounded like air being let out of a tire and two or three people running from the driveway area. He did not see anyone. An officer found the sidewalls on the front passenger tire and two rear tires punctured by what appeared to be a knife. He also found a sandwich bag with sugar inside in the driveway next to the car. The car’s gas tank door was closed by had pry marks on it. The officer found a “large amount” of sugar inside the gas tank door; some appeared to have been pushed down into the gas tank.  The officer took the sandwich bag with the sugar in it and an empty bottle of Bud Light, still cold, as evidence.  The owner and driver listed several possible suspects.  One had reportedly accused the woman of keying his vehicle the previous day.
