Price of Woburn School Lunches to Rise 25 Cents
The probably necessary and arguably annoying hike was approved by the school committee on Tuesday.

In a move that might encourage more Woburn students to pack their own sandwiches in the morning, the school committee approved a 25 cent hike for lunches at Woburn Public Schools on Tuesday.
According to the Woburn Daily Times Chronicle, this means elementary school lunch is now $2.50, middle schoolers will pay $2.75, and high schoolers will have to pony up $3 for their mid-day meals.
The cost of breakfast will stay the same.

It is unclear how much - if at all - this will impact students who qualify for free or reduced-price school lunches.
Officials who spoke to the Chronicle said the relatively incremental hike will keep the school in compliance with the federal meal reimbursement program for at least the next three years.
