Registration Underway for 28th Annual Step Out for Hospice

Registration is underway for the 28th annual Step Out for Hospice walk/run on Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Irish American Club of Woburn, 147 Main St.

The benefit kicks off with a 1-Mile Fun Run for kids at 11:30 am, followed by a 3-mile walk at noon and 5-mile road race at 12:30 pm.

For more than 40 years, the Woburn-based VNA Hospice & Palliative Care has promoted the dignity and quality of life of terminally ill individuals and their loved ones. Funds raised through Step Out for Hospice will be dedicated to health care and supportive services provided in patients’ homes, grief support, volunteer training, and other vital aspects of end-of-life care.

Preregister for the walk or road race for a discounted fee of $30 and receive priority access to a Step Out for Hospice sweatshirt at the event. Students may register for the walk or road race for $15. The Fun Run is free; preregistration is appreciated. A virtual walk/run option is also available.

Participants are invited to enjoy the post-walk/run festivities, including live music by The Offramps, refreshments, raffle, silent auction, and more.
