Rep. Katherine Clark To Attend Woburn St. Patrick's Day Breakfast
The breakfast at the Woburn Senior Center also will include Irish food and Irish music performed by Sean Fullerton.

WOBURN, MA — The Woburn Senior Center's St. Patrick's Day Breakfast Friday is is expected to feature Irish music, Irish food and a visit from Rep. Katherine Clark.
The event, which will take place at 10 a.m. at the Senior Center, located at 10 Common St., is a long-running tradition that was revived last year after going on hiatus during the pandemic.
According to Lauren McDonald, program coordinator at the senior center, nearly 100 tickets have been sold for Friday's event.

The event also will feature Irish music performed by Sean Fullerton. The music is made possible by a grant from the Mass Cultural Council, McDonald said.
Recently, a representative for Clark — who represents Massachusetts' 5th district that includes Woburn — reached out the Senior Center and said that Clark would be in the area Friday and was interested in attending the St. Patrick's Day event.
"I really think the seniors are excited to have her here," McDonald said. "I think they always appreciate somebody who takes an interest in them and what their needs are, and that's what she's doing. They'll be delighted to have her here."
Clark, who serves as the Democratic whip, is scheduled to make a few appearances in the area Friday, according to her office.
Before visiting Woburn, Clark is expected in Revere, where she will host a press conference to highlight the Riverside Climate Resiliency Project, a nearly $2 million investment she secured in this year's federal budget.
According to Clark's representatives, the funding will help mitigate climate change stressors on the Riverfront Area and usher in a more sustainable and equitable future for Revere residents.
After visiting Woburn, Clark is scheduled to visit senior centers in Melrose and Stoneham.
McDonald said members of the Woburn City Council also are expected to attend Friday's St. Patrick's Day Breakfast at the Woburn Senior Center.
