WOBURN, MA — The Woburn Cub Scouts Pack 502 will bring back their annual fishing derby this weekend at Horn Pond in Woburn, offering a two-hour event free of charge.
The event is set for Saturday, with registration opening at 1:30 p.m. Fishing will then begin at 2 p.m. to run until 4 p.m., as noted in an event flyer shared earlier this week.
The fishing derby will be centered around the Horn Pond boat launch off Sturgis Street. No fishing license is needed to participate. All fishing is catch-and-release.

The fishing derby aims to provide community members with a chance to meet Pack 502 and learn about the Cub Scout program.
Interested participants should bring their own fishing gear, although the Cub Scouts will provide gear to those who do not have any.
