Woburn Drops Second Straight Game to Rival Burlington

The Tanners managed to score just one touchdown in their loss to the Red Devils on Friday evening.

The Woburn High School football team has dug themselves an early-season hole after dropping their second straight game on Friday night.

The Tanners traveled to Burlington for a date with the Red Devils and walked away losers, falling 33-7.

Burlington set the tone early, torching the Tanners with a touchdown run on the opening play from scrimmage. Woburn failed to get on the board until the second half of play. Jake Bridge scored the team’s lone touchdown.

Already leading 20-7, the Red Devils pounded in two more touchdowns to close out the game in dominant fashion.

The Tanners will next be in action on Friday, Sept. 25, against Lexington.
