Woburn Election 2021: Mayor, Council, School Committee Candidates
Six-term Mayor Scott Galvin faces a challenge from current School Committee Chair Ellen Crowley.

WOBURN, MA — Six-term mayor Scott Galvin is facing a challenge from School Committee Chair Ellen Crowley in the November municipal election.
Galvin was first elected mayor in 2010. Crowley was first elected to the School Committee in 2013 and is serving a second consecutive term as chair.
Both Galvin and Crowley are attorneys.

Other competitive races include six candidates running for five School Committee seats and a number of competitive alderman races.
Over twenty candidates returned nomination papers to run in the 2021 municipal election, the city clerk's office said.

The municipal election is scheduled for Nov. 2, 2021. None of the contests have enough candidates to require a preliminary election.
