Woburn Fire Offers 'File Of Life' Kits To City Residents

The free kits are designed to give firefighters responding to calls important medical information.

WOBURN, MA — The Woburn Fire Department is offering free "File of Life" kits to city residents, designed to save lives in an emergency.

A file of like lists all emergency medical and health information and should be posted on the refrigerator.

"The Woburn Fire Department will look for these red files when responding to a call at your home," the department said. "This information can SAVE YOUR LIFE!"

To get a kit, contact the department's administration office at 781-897-1380 or by emailing jevans@woburnfd.com.

The kit comes with File of Life medical cards and a red refrigerator magnet to hold them. Residents should fill out a card for each household member and be sure to keep them up to date, the department said.
