Woburn Library To Hold Summer Reading Wrap-Up

The event will feature a local author visit, henna art and more.

WOBURN, MA — The Woburn Public Library will celebrate its teen and adult summer reading programs this weekend with an event on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the library.

The event will include raffles, snacks, henna tattoos and a visit from local young adult author Nandini Bajpai, as noted in an announcement.

Bajpai will speak beginning at 1:30 p.m. on the topic and importance of reading books that are “off the beaten path.” She will also delve into the stories behind her own books – "A Match Made in Mehendi" and "Sister of the Bollywood Bride."

Bajpai will answer questions after her presentation before helping library staff announced raffle winners.

As part of henna offerings, area artist Henna by Momina will teach event attendees about the cultural significance of henna.

Anyone can attend this event, regardless of their participation in summer reading.

The Woburn Public Library is located at 45 Pleasant Street in Woburn.
