Woburn Mayor Names Head Of New Opiate Task Force
The leader of Woburn's substance abuse task force is a veteran of law enforcement.

According to a Boston Globe report, Woburn Mayor Scott Galvin tapped a longtime city servant to oversee Woburn’s new substance abuse task force.
Retired Woburn police officer Rick Jolly - who was formerly a member of the department for 32 years - is now in charge of recruiting a task force charged with community education, prevention strategies, and coordinating with treatment services for opiate addicts and users in Woburn.
“We have a great deal of work ahead of us. However, I am confident we can make a difference through education, prevention, and treatment,” said Jolly, according to the Globe.
