Woburn Montvale Ave. McDonald’s To Hold Grand Reopening Celebration

The restaurant will host a series of promotions, raffles and other festivities to celebrate its reopening after renovations.

WOBURN, MA — The McDonald’s restaurant on Montvale Avenue in Woburn will hold a grand reopening celebration this week after a multiple month closure for renovations, the restaurant announced on Monday.

The grand reopening is set for Thursday at 10 a.m. at the McDonald’s at 333 Montvale Ave. The celebration is scheduled to include a series of promotions, raffles and check presentations for donations from McDonald’s to local schools and programs.

The McDonald’s on Montvale Avenue closed last fall for renovations. Months later, the restaurant now includes what a spokesperson described this week as a “completely modernized dining room” complete with touchscreen kiosks aimed at streamlining ordering.

Local McDonald’s Owner Operator Jeff Brewster is scheduled to be in attendance at festivities on Thursday alongside Woburn Mayor Scott Galvin.

The restaurant will hold check presentations for donations totaling $7,500 at its grand reopening. Among the donations, $2,500 will go to the nearby Goodyear Elementary School in Woburn. McDonald’s also plans to give $2,500 each to the mayor’s office and the Woburn Police Department. Both have decided to donate the money to the Woburn Council of Social Concern, according to McDonald’s grand reopening announcement.

The Montvale Avenue McDonald's has already reopened ahead of its upcoming celebration. Customer promotions are running throughout the week. On Thursday, the first 100 customers who arrive at the restaurant for the 10 a.m. grand reopening will also receive one free value meal per month for a year.

Grand reopening plans additionally include a raffle, with prizes including AirPods, an Apple Watch and Celtics tickets.
