Woburn Offers City Land To Restaurants As Case Growth Remains Low

The city added just eleven new cases over the last week.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn's coronavirus case count has remained low throughout the state's reopening so far, according to city data. Just eleven new cases have been added over the last week.

Less than half, 231, of the city's cumulative cases are active. Twenty-eight residents have died and 335 have recovered from the virus.

The city began offering public land to local restaurants for outdoor seating, which is permitted as part of the second round of the state's reopening. Restaurants can apply to temporarily offer outside table service on city sidewalks, public ways and other public areas. The city is not charging a fee for these temporary licenses.
