Woburn Police No Shave November Fundraiser Nets $5.6K

The fundraiser aimed to raise money for veterans with various invisible wounds of war.

WOBURN, MA — A monthlong fundraiser for veterans in need raised more than $5,600 in November, Woburn Police announced Thursday.

Back for another year, the police department’s No Shave November campaign sought to gather money to benefit the charity Home Base.

The program is affiliated with the Boston Red Sox and Mass General Hospital. The veterans it supports are largely experiencing the impacts of invisible wounds including PTSD and traumatic brain injuries, among other things.
