3rd Arrest In Worcester Triple Shooting On Union Hill

Police arrested two other men this week on charges included armed assault to murder following the Clarkson Street shooting.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police on Wednesday arrested a third man in connection to the Sunday triple shooting that left two 18-year-old and a 17-year-old injured.

Worcester police along with state police, U.S. Marshals and the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office arrested Carter Webster along Grafton Street Wednesday afternoon.

"Mr. Webster exited the vehicle and attempted to run away, but was taken into custody by officers. Mr. Webster struggled with officers, who realized that Mr. Webster had a handgun in his waistband. He does not have a license to carry firearms," Worcester police said in a news release.

On top of a warrant related to the Sunday shooting, Webster was charged with carrying a loaded gun without a license (second offense), possession of a large capacity gun, possession of a large capacity ammunition device and possession of ammunition without a license.

Also on Wednesday, Worcester police arrested Levon Atupem, 23, of Holden, after seeing a vehicle registered to him along Park Avenue. Atupem was arrested around 3 a.m. when an officer saw him getting into the car. Atupem was arrested on charges of three counts of armed assault to murder with a gun, plus charges of being an accessory to assault before the fact and accessory after the fact. On Monday, police arrested Jordany Alejo, 18, of Arlington Street on charges of three counts of armed assault to murder.

Two women and one boy were injured in the Sunday shooting near the intersection of Clarkson and Coral streets, police have said.
