Bay State Bank Donates $15K To Worcester Schools For Food Pantries

The company's CEO, who is a WPS alumnus, was honored by the School Committee.

WORCESTER, MA — A local bank made a significant donation to help fight food insecurity for students in Worcester.

Seth Pitts, a Worcester Public Schools alumnus who now serves as CEO of Bay State Bank, was formally recognized by the Worcester School Committee. The bank, based in the city, donated $15,000 to assist students experiencing food insecurity.

The funding went toward food pantries at high schools in the school district.
