Worcester Building 'Total Loss' After Fire On Main Street

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

WORCESTER, MA — Four businesses were damaged after a three-alarm fire broke out at a Worcester strip mall, according to the city's fire department.

The fire broke out on the first floor of 821 Main St. at around 8 p.m. on Monday. It took crews more than five hours to fully extinguish the fire, and no injuries were reported.

Worcester fire said the building is a total loss, and the building commissioner has ordered a demolition. It houses Kokoriko's Pizza & Fried Chicken, M.R. Services Retail Store, California Hair Design, and a fourth business that was under construction.
