Walk To End Alzheimer’s Returns To Worcester County

The event is on Oct. 19.

WORCESTER, MA — A local nonprofit is inviting residents to take part in the Worcester County Walk to End Alzheimer's.

The walk on Oct. 19 at Hanover Insurance Office Park in Worcester has set a goal to raise $583,000 to support the Alzheimer's Association. The money will further the nonprofit's mission to advance critical care, support and research efforts for the disease that affects memory and other mental functions.

“We are at a turning point in the fight against Alzheimer’s, as new treatments are giving families more hope than ever before,” said Ginny Hanbridge, Executive Director for the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter. “By joining the Walk, starting a team, and supporting this cause, our community can play a powerful role in providing help for those impacted now and advancing research toward ending this disease.”
